Google Disrupts XCPE: Infected TV Boxes Used for Proxies and Ad Fraud
On November 2, Google described an operation against the XCPE botnet, built from Android set-top boxes with a preinstalled backdoor. The company secured the disruption of command domains and barred Videostrong from producing certified Android devices with Google apps.
